I am so glad to read this message. ABout a year and a half ago, I woke up with red, slightly swollen lips that excreted a pus like fluid and burned. They felt like I had really bad sunburn on them. After a few days they started getting extremely dry and cracked even if I went to eat something. I had just moved across the country to live with my boyfriend and had no insurance. My self esteem dropped and it even hurt to kiss him! After 5 months of agony and paranoia, I went to a family doctor that was recommended to me and he took one look at me and said that I pretty much need to get over my chapped lips and gave me a few samples of Neosporin. It has gone on so long now. The severity has gone down and I have a few "normal lip" days before the next episode. I am going to go with the vitamin problem and start taking vitamin A and hope that helps. Until then, I rely on the relief of my carmex....Ugh....If anyone wants to email me I would love to discuss our problems... glitterfreak9@hotmail.com
