Re: Supplement Users Better Nourished Than Non-users

Interesting post DQ,

Supplement use is one of my pet subjects.

All of the above depends on what they mean by "getting enough"? Is that the pathetically low RDA, or some other yardstick "they" are using?

I just wonder how an Orthomolecular Physician would consider adequate  dosage of supplements?

I personally take  10,000 iu 's of Retinol per day with 2000 iu's of Vitamin D3 along with a product called "Neurozan"...a Multi aimed at nerve and brain health; plus a liquid anti-aging supplement. The health benefits are just amazing.

The only concern I have is: does Vitamin A compete with D3 for absorption by using the same receptors? Thought I read that somewhere once and I'm damned if I can find the answer to it.

Be grateful if anyone knows the answer to that one.

Chris
