Re: Things that Make Sugar Not so Sweet
Hi Tony,
that is quite a list!
I eliminated sugar from my diet 3 weeks ago...mostly. Well, this past weekend, while at work, I did not take my water (was not motivated to get moving in enough time). At any rate, so when lunch rolled around, I went over to a restaurant and got a smoothie. I had had a headache (from eating breakfast too quickly and being somewhat stressed while eating) and when I consumed the smoothie, initially it went away. Yay! After a while though, the headache came back. Again, on Sunday, I had the smoothie. Now, I went over to the restaurant and it was too liquidy, so had her remake it. What I realized as I watched her make it was... this was OVERKILL on sugar. It was a Chai Raspberry (very yummy :D) smoothie. It had Chai (syrup), raspberries (with syrup), cranberry (again, syrup) and yogurt (sugar). LOL No wonder I had a headache!!!
I went through the headaches from the sugar initially leaving my body. Then had headaches as I allowed the sugar to enter back into my body.
I realize I am able to only get my drinks from me...water with lemon, water alone or maybe going to a juice bar (natural sugar). I eliminated white sugar.
I do appreciate though, the more I strive to release the "good aka unhealthy" things from my diet when I add them back in, for whatever reason, I notice it. I know, from process of elimination, what is affecting me when I eat it on its own.
Just wanted to share my experience :D!
Have an Awe-Filled week forward! Also, thanks for sharing your time, information and more on this forum!
Peace,
Beth
