V,
I posted this question on the iodine debate forum a couple of months ago because I didn't want to cause a disturbance on the supplementation forum. Now that you have this other forum I will ask it here. A few months ago I started on Lugol's. I took 5 drops over three days. I had almost immediate joint pain, mainly my knee and then my elbow. The pain was not debilitating but was enough for me to wonder what the hell was going on. I know you recommended me to get one of those loading tests to see if I was iodine deficient. Would it even matter what the results were in a case like this? Even if it comes back you are "sufficient" don't some people use megadoses to move out mercury etc.? Have you run across a case of this little amount of iodine causing such an immediate reaction?
