diabetic with infection

A friend of mines father has cut his foot and it has gotten infected, he is diabetic and the doctors are telling him they can't do anything for him. She remembered that I do not use doctors and called me for help and I can't sem to find the right advice to give her and I knew y'all could help. Any suggestions would be wonderful.
