Infected root canal

I had a root canal a couple years ago and now in pain with reaccuring infection, sinus infections, and getting ready to have my tooth extracted, Torrie you mentioned in a previous post something about making sure to get a biologic dentist whom is trained in NICO, since I need to know what Im talking about when I look for the rightt dentist, what does NICO stand for? and what is a biologic dentist?
