Endovenous Laser Ablation question

Has anyone had any experience with Endovenous Laser Ablation? Or know anyone that has. My wife has had leg problems and they are getting worse. Carolina Vein & Laser specialissts are scheduling a treatment. I know nothing about it. Some of their info is below.

Endovenous Laser Ablation
EVLA (Endovenous Laser Ablation) is an excellent treatment alternative to surgical stripping of the saphenous vein. A small laser fiber is inserted through a needle stick in the skin into the damaged vein. Pulses of laser light are delivered inside the vein which causes the vein to collapse and seal shut. The procedure is done in the office using local anesthesia. Following the procedure a bandage or compression stocking is placed on the treated leg. Patients are able to walk immediately and are usually able to resume normal activity immediately.
