Re: My tooth hurts.

The pain was the greatest in the first half of the month. I distinctly remember eating a rasberry preserves sandwich and I had a rasberry seed pressing down on my new lower filling. I suppose the filling goes down to a root nerve as I felt the pain. The Amalgam dentist needed to hollow out large parts of the tooth in order to get the Amalgam to stick. I felt some pain and backed off. After some more time the pain was not apparent unless I was trying to eat hard foods like crispy pizza. Currently I have not had recent pain. Found myself occasionally crunching one thing or another with no bother. I do not want to ruin my Mexican dental work, thus have been avoiding tough meat, popcorn, chicken bones, etc. Heard of someone losing a crown while chomping on beefsteak.

Once I thought I had a cavity as I felt a hole in my tooth. I went to a dentist; he told me the hole I felt with my tongue was a fracture in the filling, not to worry about it. I told him I wanted to get the tooth pulled as I feared mercury toxicity. He replied, he and his dad had mercury fillings. His dad had more than he. He said his dad was 70 years old, surviving, but mad. He told me about thimersol, that when they started to use it in vaccine, autism cases spiked up, Then they banned it. He was afraid he might lose his license if he recommended Amalgam replacement. I heard a similar line from a denturist. I went to Mexico and got the work done for a fraction of the cost.

One of my teeth broke and a different dentist recommended a $600 crown, then if the crown falls off the dentist gets some more work. I went to another dentist and got the tooth pulled for about $150.

If you have an impacted tooth it is a whole different scenario. You might risk general infection, gangrene, your jaw might swell to the size of a plum or larger. That is nasty pain...needs to go to a dentist to get a remedy. A lawyer will not be able to come up with a cure.
