memory and speech problems, can it be candida?

I really dont know much about candida, but i spoke with someone yesterday and i mentioned my symptoms and they said it was common with candida. so here i am.

I did a search and found a few posts that describ pretty accuratly what i am going thru.

I have a horrible memory. I very often cant remember what i just said 5-10 minutes. cant remember ppl's name right after they tell it to me, etc.

I also have a hard time speaking properly. I very often say the wrong word or switch them around. I stumble for my words, trying to put a sentence together. I know what i want to say but i just cant say it.

But those are my only symptoms. I am otherwise pretty healthy. Could candida cause only those 2 things? Is there anything simple i can do at home to find out if it is candida? What else could cause these symptoms? i have cut Aspartame from my diet, and i have been off fluoride for a month and plan on continuing. Im also trying to cut out msg, but that is harder then planed...its in everything!
