Re: No, S, you are picking the gauntlet up!!!

If you're feeling better than you ever have in your life, why on earth do you feel the need to increase more. I know Iodine is needed, but too much of almost anything could cause problems. There was someone in San Diego who died from drinking too much water at once, without urinating. It was a challenge to a morning radio show. Whoever could hold the most water the longest would win the prize.

For me, after about three months at 100mg/day, I intend to cut back to a maintenance dose of maybe 6mg/week. So far after one month at this dose, I haven't really felt much different, although my wife says I look terrible, so I don't know if that means detox, or she's just imagining it. All I know is, at this dose, I have noticed very little detox symptoms. In the beginning, I had the headaches, but that's gone now.

What I'm trying to cure is a shortness of breath problem. Actually, since taking iodine, I feel the shortness of breath(SOB) is slightly worse, and I read that too much Iodine can cause shortness of breath in some people. Why I thought Iodine might help is I read that SOB can be a symptom of hypothyroid, and I do have a low body temp most of the time, typically 96.5 in the morning. My body temp hasn't changed since starting iodine either. Do I need to take more?
