Helichrysm Essential Oil [Edited]
Although I know there are many different types of tinnitus that are likely from different sources, the only time I had success with mine, for a very short period, was when I was using up the last of a tiny bottle of helichrysm oil from Young Living Essential Oils.
I touched the oil to my fingertip and smoothed it AROUND the opening to the ear canal, not in it.
I did this to both ears once per day for two or three weeks. Then, lying on the sofa, on my right side, head propped on right hand, watching TV, I noticed that the noisiest right ear ringing had stopped, and that the left ear ringing was greatly diminished.
Oh, blessed silence! I do not remember hearing silence before.
The fact that I had heard the constant ringing long before I had dental fillings meant that they were not the cause. Still, I had an eyetooth pulled at age twelve, for crowding, and noticed the tinnitus for the first time within the next few years. (It was when I put my head on the pillow to sleep. I thought at first there was high pitched ringing in the neighborhood.)
I wrote about this before, in the Tinnitus forum.

...Adding some things I had read, further down that thread.
As I said, the helichrysm oil ran out, just as I felt and heard this brief period of relief...and Young Living wouldn't sell the next helichrysm oil available to them because it was sub-standard, due to problems arising from a crop failure in Bulgaria.
This decision was a hardship to Young Living because helichrysm oil was also used in several of their combination formulas.
[I mention the company name only because I have had some successes with the oils they processed themselves, and because I believed that their methods of extracting oils, and of testing the quality of oils were superior to any other I tried. I expect their methods are the same today.]
By the time a better quality oil was available, I could not afford it, and I slowly forgot about getting some.
Plasticat has mentioned helichrysm oil, among others, as 'regenerative'. "...Every type of regenerating essential oil (rosehip, helichrysum, neroli, bergamot, carrot, lavender)."
I know that I have been able to 'forget' to listen to my tinnitus, somehow slipping into forgetfulness whenever I have noticed the ringing. I certainly don't 'fight' it because I find that opposition always gets me more of what I DON'T want...'fighting' something is just another way of concentrating ON it. I usually revert to what I was thinking before.
Though I think there is merit in thinking my happiest words and phrases, as an antidote and preventative, I have not experimented with this, yet.
[I notice the ringing all the while I write this. Soon, when I read another topic, I will not notice my tinnitus, forgetting once more.]
I had brown rice today, and I can hear the ringing now, at a medium level, so IP6 doesn't immediately alleviate it. Nor do many other things I have taken recently, such as a 30-day Humaworm cleanse, odd amounts of castor oil at irregular times, or a single salt water flush.
Perhaps acid/alkali balance, or some other balance plays a part. I don't know...I haven't yet experimented with these.
I am very interested in kinesiology, and I have an idea how to get specific help with certain ailments. If kinesiology helps with any specific question, you can be sure I will say so.
I would like to add that some ailments work like toothaches...it is sometimes quite impossible to think of anything else while the problem is raging. The sufferer is literally incapacitated. Make allowances for tinnitus victims. And, if they do something nice for you, be sure to appreciate their effort. It may have been considerable.
Distract them with quiet and gentle pleasures, and enfolding.
Good luck, everyone.
