Fever, Chills, sick, swollen gums after filling
I had a filling done yesterday at approximately 12 Noon. The dentist told me that the decay was pretty deep and significant, but that he was going to attempt to save my tooth. After some major drilling, he filled the tooth with a white filling.
At around 6:30 PM, I started to feel chilled and sick. By 10 PM I was lying in bed, shivering from fever and feeling pain all over my body. I looked in my mouth, and noticed that the gum around the tooth that was worked on was extremely swollen and ugly-looking. I did go to the ER, and got some penicillin.
My fear is that when the doctor drilled out my old (amalgam) filling and the decay, the metals and germs then were capped under the new filling, and I'm concerned that now I have major poisoning going on.
My kidneys hurt, my head hurts, my KNEES even hurt. Does someone have any clue as to what may be happening here?
Thanks!
