It's not so much eating less that will make you lose weight, but eating less of what is not suited for your metabolic type and eating more of what is.
For example: I am a protein-fat metabolic type and when I (years ago) tried to eat a vegan-mostly fruit diet for a longer period of time, this not only made me gain weight, but also gave me high blood pressure, made me nervous, etc.
As you state yourself that
"It's important to understand that while the metabolism, body chemistry and eating habits of every person are so different and unique, no single program or formula can help everyone lose weight."
I believe that you should go into this in more detail.
