Another testimonial 5th week

I’m a 46 years old Portuguese guy, and a few months later after stop smoking, 15 years ago, I was diagnosed UC, my symptoms was bloody diarrhoea , urgency to toilet and 4-5 BM a day.

When I tried to know what causes it my Gastroenterologist said that they don’t know the causes, but statistically it appears around the thirty’s and people who has stop smoking.

I started with messalazine (Salofalk - Asacol), and prednisone and I went to remission 6 months later. I started smoking again and in these years I’ve 3 major flare-ups until two years ago.

During those flare-ups I had other symptoms like severe pains in bones articulations, one of them I couldn’t even walk.

Two years ago I decided stop smoking for good and 2 months latter the symptoms began, bloody diarrhoea 3-4 BM’s….. I started with 40 mg Prednisone, Salofalk enemas ( Messalazine) and the 6 Asacol pills that I take daily from the last 15 years. I decrease every two weeks the Prednisone until 2,5 mg but the symptoms reappears I increase the Pred and began to take daily another enema ( triamcinolona diacetato) a corticoid I get from Spain. I felt a little better but my Gastro said that I must take imunosupressors because I can’t take corticoids for such a long time and also recommended to take nicotine pills ( fruit gums) I was not smoking anymore.

I started searching about the progress of the disease when I see this forum and the Vitamin E enema cure, so after reading a little I decided to start the procedure.

I’m now on the fifth week and still have loose stool (some formed) with little blood, but I’m much better then it was before, only 2 BM.

In the end of second week I leave the corticoids (I was taking a small dosage, 2,5 mg Prednisone and 1 corticoid enema a day) and no more nicotine I still take Asacol (6 pills a day). I think the blood is because I remove the Pred but I think if I stay in Procedure it goes away.

In the middle of third week I was improving and suddenly an urgency and lots of blood during 3 days, got worse and decided to take the enema corticoid twice a day until I see some improvement. I don´t know the reason but in that week I introduced the corn and changed the Sugar by molasses in tapioca.

Since de first day of the procedure I take diary a Vit E enema (now 4000 IU at night)
(d-alpha tocopherol with other mixed natural tocopherols)

Breakfast
1 capsule Vit E 1000 IU ( I don´t have 400IU capsules)
1 soymilk glass
Middle of morning a low fat yogurt.

Every Lunch and dinner
Brown rice, broccoli, carrot, turnip, mushrooms, asparagus, cauliflower, cucumber, onion, spinach, kale , brussels sprouts, asparagus, eggs, everything is washed with water not distilled but by osmoses (I can’t get distilled here and a machine costs 250€ ) and steamed. I eat the vegs with olive oil.
Desert: tapioca with soymilk and sugar.

At afternoon 1 soymilk glass.

I drink osmoses water, but not the 6 glasses and rarely walk, play football once a week.

At dinner I’m taking one multi vitamin & mineral tablet, one 500 mg of vitamin C and one pill of selenium.

I will keep you informed, and thanks to everyone who share’s their experience, specially to Sheldon.

A little question after steam the vegs can I fry them with a little olive oil and garlic just to give them another taste?

Sorry my English is not my natural language and I’m not used to write.

Thanks.
