Paint a little patch of tincture of Iodine on your skin...(paint the spot about the size of a half dollar on the inside of your arm or on stomach would be a good starting place - for slow "uptake")
All my fasts prior to my last one I had terrible issues of one or another.
My last fast (32 days) was SOOOOOO much easier. And, the only thing different, was that I put JUST ONE DROP of Iodine on my skin every day.
Most are deficient (since at the very least the 1920's!!!) and so, IMO, it's at least worth a try.

PS: if you find it does help, I can tell you what form of Iodine I prefer - at least THIS way, you'll have "an idea" of iodine. There are better forms, but this is a good place to start in a very cheap and safe way.
