Of course it doesn't hurt; you are merely drinking a quart of salt water, for pete's sake. It does exit in dramatic style, so is not recommended for the commute (lol)! Best to try on a day when you have nothing on your agenda. Once you have done it a couple of times you will know how your body reacts.
The SWF (Salt-Water-Flush) is an excellent flush of the entire digestive system, stem to stern. I like to include it while fasting, and sometimes after a liver flush. I do not use it every day as I find it a bit harsh.
A good substitute while cleansing is a plain water enema.
