Re: the "other" iodine forum...
Just in case you are seriously asking, that which is currently called
Iodine Supplementation originally began as the
Iodine Support forum. As such that is where the main repository of original support information (research, literature, audios/videos) is or was to be found. This repository is in large part made up of the findings of a handfull of doctors (Fletchas, Brownstein, Abrahams et. al) who tend to favor the idea of supplementing one's daily diet with an amount of
Lugol's or Iodoral anywhere from, approximately 6.25 mg per day upwards to 50mg to 100 to 150 mg per day, depending on how many times per day one takes a dose. The main idea involved is reaching a somewhat nebulous state of "sufficiency". That which is currently called
Iodine Support originally did not exist until several months after the original Iodine Support forum was created. Some time around early Summer, a flurry of change ensued. It was around this point that I'd lost touch with the fray, so many of the details of why what occured escape me. It seems in part to be somehow involved with some of the various debates that had been ongoing that was all over the map and included discussion, debate, scuttlebutt, inuendo and such. This in turn led to what is now referred to as "the split": a new team (VWT) of moderators was assigned to the original Iodine support forum at the same time that original forum was renamed to Iodine Supplementation AND at the same time a new support forum was created. The new forum had a forum header that included the description "...for dissidents....". The subsequent hue & cry that arose left one to believe that somebody had peed in the cornflakes of those who had aligned themselves with this new forum.... so, the descriptive header was removed and this new forum was then given the old forum's name - Iodine Support. Make sense? I thought so.
