Re: fomentation

An herbal fomentation is for external application as follows

Make an herbal infusetion or decoction of the desired herbs

Then put a thick piece of felt cloth (large enough to cover the area to be treated) in the prepared herbal formula. Apply this to the area to treated and over this put a piece of plastic wrap (this keeps the fomentation from drying out)

Leave in place for one hour repeat 3 times a day
