thanks.  I only use a simple basic adobe photoshop 2.0.  In all of them that had a haze or dullness, it took that away.  On many of them it created beautiful color.  But, i got an email telling me I did not do a good job.  Later, they said some of them were ok, but the rest are not.  I do not claim to be any expert and have no intention of getting further into it than what I already know how to do.  All I can say is they look good to me.  I also cropped the photos to take off the white edges and a few I took off things that retracted from the photo.  If you compare them to the originals, i think there is quite an improvement in the clarity of many of them.  It took me about 3 or 4 hours I think, maybe longer, but it was fun to see their metamorphoses.  

*but, because of the critique, i am going through each and re-doing them if they don't look right to me.
