Apparently when Edison saw what the fluoroscope did to those exposed to it he dropped the thing and refused to EVER be x-rayed again. That is stating something...
"The fluoroscope he developed became the standard for medical X-ray examinations. Nevertheless, Edison dropped X-ray research around 1903 after the death of Clarence Madison Dally, one of his glassblowers. Dally had a habit of testing X-ray tubes on his hands, and acquired a cancer in them so tenacious that both arms were amputated in a futile attempt to save his life."
They were marketed as being a boon to health; better fitting shoes! Any advertisement that proclaims "healthy" or "health benefit" should be viewed with a big dose of skepticism. Who's health are they referring too? Ours or their bank accounts?
A question needs to be asked here... if we would not want to be irradiated, why on earth would we want to eat foods that have been?
