Re: Red yeast rice supplements contain prescription drug

Hi!

"Before I believe this, I will have to do my own research on the products mentioned. For one, I have dealt personally with Swanson and I know the quality of their products. So, I cannot just take one side, I must find out about the other side. And I will. Not that I would accuse the FDA of lying or anything. What would their ulterior motive be? The wellbeing of the public? LOL LOL LOL Give me break."

Good idea to look into this further! First of all, if Red Yeast Rice was an unadulterated product with no drugs added it shouldn't be a problem.

That being said... Red Yeast Rice has been known as an alternative to help with heart conditions! If you view it from that perspective perhaps the FDA may have a reason to pull it, if RYR is competing with their heart meds, but then again they could have a legit reason (doubtful).
