I don't doubt for a minute that there are natural, solar events taking place that are having an effect on the earth's climate changes...our plante has gone through ice ages and other climate extremes many times in the past.

But I also don't doubt for a minute that the things we are doing to our atmosphere are accelerating the change. At the very least, we are not helping, and if we are going through some sort of natural claimatic change, we should be doing everything in our power to mitigate it, and instead we are adding to it with reckless abandon.

How much is our fault and how much is not is really a moot point. It's hard to find two scientists who agree on anything, anyway. Sometimes you just have to use good old common sense.

At any rate, I believe the earth will survive our pitiful goings on, but whether or not we do is up to us.
