Here is the definitive answer. You can lose 15 pounds after fasting a week. It is mostly because your body dumps lots of salt and you need to retain less water. Salt is not a food. If you did not consune salt, then your sweat would not be salty. You sweat out salt so you lose water that you no longer need.
