Everyone in my family ate this watermelon, it came from an old man who has sold produce forever from his front yard....I don't think that was it. I was the only one with the reaction I described. I don't doubt what you say, but I do doubt that was the case with this melon, it wasn't all that sweet. Good but not FABULOUS.

How do you test watermelons with a pendulum?? I have never heard of this. That would be interesting to know. Thumping, smacking, by weight, but not yet the pendulum.
