I don't see it as cynical, I see it as scientific fact. What seemed to cure my EC was L-lysine. It wasn't a classical "western medicine" pharmaceutical, but there is scientific research that supports it's use in oral herpes infections.
I found that article interesting because it described the reason homeopathic medicine became popular (it was less damaging than the methods in use in the 1800's) and that it enjoys it's current status in the US due to a Homeopathic Surgeon General.
The link you posted is an article written by a homeopath describing the many ways their products can help teens. Might as well be an advertisement. No research. No double blind studies. It should be criminal to prey on the insecurities of teens to sell them a useless "tincture". Imagine trying something only to have it not work - it just makes you feel worse.
I haven't seen anyone post that they've used a homeopathic remedy with positive results... ever. The Science just isn't there.
