Hi, well pain is a pretty good motivation. She is not exactly financially comfortable and will put up with as much as she can NOT to go to a dentist. She keeps very good dental hygeine etc, but this time the pain was excrutiating and she tried to put up with it and in the end of course, it drove her to the dentist.
The dentist could actually not find much wrong and there was a wasted appointment and then he said to come back in a few weeks and he would check again (interesting..). So there was money for that appointment alone and she had to put up with pain again. She could not handle anymore and had to make another appointment earlier to see him and this time made it VERY clear to him she could not continue. Funnily enough this time around he did seem to find something wrong in the nerve of the tooth and had to proceed with a root canal. This time sometime and the pain has now pretty much gone which is good, but at what cost? She seems now worse off than she was physically, but could be a coincidence I guess. She also lives in an area where dentists are pretty scarce and out of them he is probably the least expensive.
I wish she had false teeth personally, at least she would not have a amouth full of Amalgam and root canals.
