Re: night sweats before period

I find the cleaner you eat the better this is. I often get night sweats before and during my period, sometimes its been so bad, I wake up completely soaked, its yucky!!
But i've noticed that when i stuff my face with all the things i crave leading up to my period (pasta, bread, cheese, sugar, junk food, chocolate) I get the night sweats , but the healthier i eat, less sugar/white flour/junk food and the more fibre, fresh fruit and veg i eat before my period, the better and less sweaty i am!

Its almost like on top of your period, which is a way for your body to expel toxins, it is trying to get more out by sweating at the same time. That's just my personal opinion though!

I recently started the Iodine protocol and noticed that my last period was fairly uneventful. No night sweats to speak of, i did notice a slight rise in temperature, but i think that's normal. No heavy bleeding, hardly any pain/cramping although that is fairly usual and the main bleed peters out after day 3 and i get spotting for the rest of the week.
Wonder if the sweats could have anything to do with thyroid/hypothalamus/pituitary glands, hmm, think i'm going to go and research that connection.
I occasionally get headaches the night before i'm due - have researched this and apparently its a magnesium deficiency, easy fixed with some Epsom Salts !
I also find that supplementing with EFA's, vitamins B & C and zinc helps aswell.
