Re: natural iodine

The only tree I have ever read that has Iodine in the Walnut Tree. The trappers use to tan their traps each season. After soaking the traps in boiling tea made form parts of the tree to make the traps dark, they would melt wax on top of the water and as you raised the traps up and out they would also be waxed. Christopher used the iodine to kill fungus conditions, etc.
