Re: what about spacing children 4 years or more
My children are 4 years apart. It is wonderful! We did not plan for it to be that way, but it took a long time for us to get pregnant the second time.
As soon as my little one was big enough to move around, and her neck was strong, they played together.
For me as a stay at home mom there are lots of pluses. The oldest could do lots of things for himself while I spent hours breast feeding, he went to school and I could have alone time to rest with our baby, and having an older child as a role model makes the younger one develop a little quicker. Language came a bit quicker for her.
We try to get in "dates" with our oldest child to help him feel special, and do things our yougest is not yet ready for.
The only down side is the fact that you are not free from all the baby stuff for a lot longer. So, all the sippy cups, diapers, potty seats...... are part of your life a bit longer.
Good Luck! I hope the day you see 2 lines on the preg. test comes soon:)
