Re: The accupuncturist, by MH. Possible explanation by KRS

Possible explanation. Hi Barefoot, Sutter here. My experience with Accupuncture involves stabilty of the cervical spine. On several occasions over the years I would get a cervical issue that wouldn't resolve via normal chiropractic procedures so I would send them to an accupuncturist. It worked every time. The cervical spine would stabilize and the case would be resolved. No more problems.

My reasoning is this: Meridians. Acupuncture deals with the meridian field of the body. The meridians originate in the brain. The closer the accupuncture point is to the brain the more far reaching the effects will be. If they can actually stimulate the origns of a specific meridian you may indeed eliminate the persons desire to not smoke ever again but it would have to change the rest of the meridian throughout the entire body. And of course the meridian has to pass through a portion of the brain. Thus the "mental" problems later on.

You see this in a positive way when people eliminate the metal from their mouths. The metal interfers with the normal meridian pathways and makes you sick. Remove the metal and one of their first responses is they feel so relaxed and at peace. Why? No more interference with the meridian and the rest of the body starts healing. Which is a parasympathetic function, which is the part of your nervous system that calms you down. Plus, it normalizes the pathway back to the brain. Ahhh peace.

Apparently stimulating the origins of the meridian is NOT a good thing. The same way metal fillings are not a good thing.

That's my take on it... Doc Sutter
