Re: CHILDHOOD Diabetes

This is a good question. Other's here will eventually give you some good responses to your question as to if and how this can be reversed. Please also check the Diabetes forum and ask this there- -you may get some good tips. Actually many other forums here can also help you get different answers that deal with every angle of dealing with diabetes.

I have heard of some people with adult diabetes actually reversing their diabetes by eating low glycemic raw fruits and vegetables- with NO sugar, corn syrup, or other sweetners other than Stevia or Raw Agave nectar syrup. I would use Stevia in place of chemically created artificial sweetners like Nutrasweet, etc.

When eating anything sweet or starchy, it's good to combine it with something like olive oil, nuts, avacodos, or something with healthy fats, to offset blood Sugar spikes later.

Theres' alot of controversy on meat in a persons' diet, I personally don't eat meat. but if this child is not vegetarian-- I think having a small portion (no bigger than the size of a deck of cards) of Free Range, Hormone Free lean meat like Turkey, or Fish daily-- -with a larger portion of Low Glycemic raw Vegetables and fruits may be good for him in his situation. Just make sure he gets enough raw stuff to keep the bowels clean, because meat doesn't digest well in the human body.

Also , make sure he is getting plenty of clean water daily (I like distilled) with a pinch of unrefined Sea Salt or Himalayan salt added.
