Re: Help with directions to forum or educational site link
Hi Brett,
This may not be quite what you are looking for However, they do offer a course called
BASIC EDUCATION IN INTEGRATIVE, COMPLEMENTARY AND ALTERNATIVE MEDICINE
Which might be a good place to start. They are also comming out with a number of different courses in Sept. You can get more info at www.addictionsfreehealth.com The coursed are not listed on the site yet but you can get more info by filling out the "Practioner Info Request form" Under the Pilot Research Project Heading or just contact customer service. I have also provided additional info below. They also have courses on general health and wellness that I don't think is listed.
Hope this helps!

The Connected Pathways Certification Program was designed to meet the requests of many practitioners who wanted more formalized training courses from Dr. Gant in the integrative medicine treatment modalities for ADHD, addictions, mood disorders and other medical and psychiatric problems. Dr. Gant released his first educational training courses in 2002. Since then, we have engaged practitioners in certification programs to help them expand their scopes of practice and their skills in the areas of nutritional science.
The Connected Pathways Certification Program provides one-on-one training with our Connected Pathways trainers and with Dr. Gant. The Certification Program offers in depth didactic training and clinical discussions participants may also elect to participate in on site practicums at Dr. Gant’s office in Washington DC. The Certification Program will concentrate on “mental health” topics such as ADHD, substance use disorders and mood disorders, but all medical and psychiatric problems can be addressed as didactic discussions focus on the needs of participants as well as their individual patients and clients. The Connected Pathways Certification Program is purely educational and does not involve entrepreneurial agreements.
Other topics which are part of the certification program include the Pilot Research Program, where participants can elect to be part of ongoing efforts at gathering outcomes data to demonstrate the efficacy of nutritional science interventions. In addition, the Connected Pathways Certification Program will introduce participants to Functional Medicine testing to determine the underlying nutritional deficiencies (e.g., mineral, essential fatty acid or amino acid deficiencies), toxicities (e.g., mercury toxicity, candida and food allergy), metabolic imbalances (e.g., cortisol, sex hormone, thyroid testing) and testing for genetic polymorphisms which create vulnerabilities to nutritional deficiencies, toxins and metabolite imbalances. If participants wish, they can also receive training in the psycho-emotional aspects of healing which interface with the biochemical.
Participants in the Connected Pathways Certification Program will be supported in interfacing nutritional science with other Integrative Medicine modalities in which they may already be expert level care givers, such as energetic healing (e.g., homeopathy, acupuncture), structural medicine (e.g., massage therapy, chiropractic) and psychotherapy. The physician-trained instructors and Dr. Gant use various modalities of communication including conference calls, E-mails and one-on-one phone sessions depending on the requests of the participant. The support for people suffering from mental disorders and addictions is especially complex and difficult. Participants in the Connected Pathways Certification Program will be trained in how to deliver this vital support for these difficult and complex psychological problems. The training is self-paced and individualized according to the participant’s needs. You will be guided through each of the training modules until you have reached your own “comfort zone” in delivering this care.
