You can reintroduce those foods when you are sure you are well on the mend. Weight loss can happen initially, but for me it improved when I started having more protein and fat (healthy fats) in my diet. I was able to absorb more nutrients and then weight began to go back on.
If you are feeding candida, it will rob you of nutrients so you wont tend to gain weight until you are absorbing nutrients again and things begin to balance out. But you have to make sure you are getting enough to eat and enough of the right things.
I do not know if it is the right time for you to reintroduce the high carb veges yet or not. you would be the best judge as to how you are feeling and whether you think that you are past the worst of the candida problem.
