It is a great sounding idea with very evil motives

Every time there is a proposal to "protect" consumers you will find Big Pharma making a move to restrict their competition. What do you not understand about a trillion dollar industry with an incredibly evil and corrupt past whose only market place is our bodies and whose track record clearly indicates that they will choose greed and profit over humanity right down the line?

I assure you that any agency that regulates natural supplements will be co-opted by Big Pharma to make sure that any competition that is safer, less expensive and more effective is suppressed - just like they, the FDA and their mainstream medicine agency, the AMA, have done for over a century now. We have already seen this exact thing happen with attempts to create agencies to represent and oversee natural health and natural supplements.

When it comes to our medicines and our foods - our health in other words - money talks and humanity gets a long walk off a short plank in this country. One has only to look at what is happening with Aspartame and what has happened with a would be competitor Stevia for an example. Despite study after study linking Aspartame to cancer and many other problems it just rolls on along racking up the billions. Perfectly safe Stevia, on the other hand, after being suppressed off the market for years, still cannot even call itself a sweetener! What makes you think that any other natural product will be treated any better if it competes with an industry money maker? And trust me - nature has some dynamite competition for just about any condition mainstream medicine currently milks along for maximum profit and minimum cures.

The idea of being sure we put safe substances in our bodies is laudable and it sounds so logical as to be a no brainer, right? No brainer is the right phrase alright - because too many of us have been brainwashed into thinking that it is nature and not man who most needs the oversight.

What do you not understand about over 100,000 deaths just in the United States due to reactions to PROPERLY PRESCRIBED approved medications versus less than 150 deaths for any reason due to natural supplement use WORLDWIDE? And these 100,000 plus deaths came from tested and approved substances with regulatory agencies like you want for supplements, mind you!

Given the track record of the FDA and Aspartame, Vioxx, Avandia, Alleve, Bextra, and scores of other horror stories, I say keep the government police the hell away from our natural supplements until they learn how to properly clean up the approved ones!

And this comes from someone who IS involved in natural supplements as both an author and a very careful affiliate. I won't touch MLM programs nor will I buy or recommend any product sold only through MLM.
