Re: First time enema and pregnant

A gentle cleansing enema is the safest, most comfortable and most effective method of relieving constipation during pregnancy. Just use 2 to 3 pints of plain or salt water. Use 1 teaspoon of Sea Salt or non-iodized table salt for each pint of water.

The water should be at 103 degrees F at preparation time. Don't guess at the temperature, use a baby bath thermometer to get it right.

You should take the enema in a comfortable position, either in the knee-chest position, the Sims position, or lying on your back with your knees pulled up. If you have any questions, please either follow up here or e-mail me.
