This gets rather technical. I'll try. First, how did you get rid of the headache?

Most headaches involve the upper neck and its relationship to the cranial fault. The bones that surround the brain. The coverings of the brain and spinal cord are attached at the floor of the cranial vault and continue down all the way to the sacrum. This is the Dura mater. When the upper cervical spine is out of place it pulls on this dura mater. Literally pulling on the floor of your brain. Plus with the dura pulled and stretched the way it is when the neck is out of place it inhibits the flow of cerebrospinal fluid in and out of the brain. Thus the headache.

Often times when the cervical spine is corrected the patient will experience soreness on one or more of the cranial bones of which the temple area is a cross section of. It's actually sore to the touch. Happens to my wife every now and then. Left temple. Yeah, I know, I'm her headache. But it's not uncommon for this to happen. Behind the eyes, the forehead, the sides of the head and the back of the head also. It usually last a day or two and is gone.

Of course it doesn't hurt to get it checked out if you're worried about a stroke or anything like that. But generally there are quite a few other symptoms for pre-stroke victims and you say you're in pretty good shape and feel good otherwise. It'll probably be gone in the morning... Doc
