Tension/pain in lower-right abdomen

I've had a feeling of tension, like a spring, bound up tight, under a lot of tension, almost to the point of pain, that starts about 3 inches to the right of my navel, and I feel it all the way down to the right side of my groin. I've had this pain for over a year. It really started getting bad when my Romanian ex-wife severely mistreated me, arranging an all-out socially engineered attack, getting some members of my religious community to lie against me, claiming false allegations, and making legal threats against me in our divorce. That was 2 years ago, but that's when it hurt the worst. It's gotten a little better over time, until recently.

My new wife, of 1 year, is a reiki-master healer. I've been doing a lot of detox recently. I started with the master-cleanse, then did the P&B shakes, I was taking iodine, eating a very strict raw foods diet, and then I recently did another 4-day master-cleanse. I took some time in between these programs to eat normal food and relax. When doing iodine, I took take a few days off, so as not to overload my system. I've noticed my belly sticking out further & further. My wife has too. It's like it has been getting bigger. The pain in my side got worse & worse, as well. It really seems to especially get bad when I am mistreated, and disrespected blatantly, and others do not respect my proper boundries. My wife recently had a vivid dream. She was inside my body, looking around, and my appendix started having a conversation with her. It informed her that I'm detoxing too much, too fast, and it is overloaded, and inflamed, and I have not been listening to it telling me to slow down. It asked her to tell me to quit detoxing for a while and give it a chance to heal. It was already a bit inflamed, and it said that it was a dangerous position for me to be in and I needed to stop. The rest of the dream involves her telling me what the appendix said and my making light of it. I'm not doing so, however. I did not know this was my appendix feeling like this, but now it makes sense, locationwise & all.

My guess is that all the detox fasts have depleted my healthy gut-flaura and my appendix has been working hard, swelling, trying to make more gut-flaura to populate my cleaned-out colon. This is quite an amazing concept to me, but it makes sense. I've been hankering to make my own saurkraut recently and consume large portions of it, as well as get some kumbocha tea going, but havent done so yet. I've noticed several other people in these various forums complaining of pain in their lower-right side, and I wanted to offer my wife's insight in to all of this. I hope it can be of help to others. This is really teaching me to try to listen more to my guts. It seems as if the gut truly does have a brain and mind of it's own, and one can choose to love & listen to it if one makes a conscious effort. I've been trying to listen to it more closely, and it often tells me to protect myself from letting people steal my energy and demand/force my attention when I do not want to give it, when I feel they are mistreating and disrespecting me. Even as I type now, it is hurting. I have not seen many forums or holistic experts talking about the appendix, or it's mate, the gallbladder. I'll bet this is a very important aspect of detoxing that needs to be paid more attention to. There may be more to those acidophilus pills so often recommended in the detox forums.
