scared for a friend

My friend is 38 and has what we think is a swollen lymph node about the size of a fist. She's not sure if it's her lymph node. She went to a game and cheered alot she then felt like something happened in her throat area, followed my a very hard time swallowing and very sore in that area. Feels kind of like a squishy hot dog. Docs arent sure what it could be they said maybe drainage from sinuses. She's also been really tired and somewhat feverish. She's also anemic(iron deficient) not sure if I spelling that right.

Any help please????
