Re: AB- strange blood?

my 10 yr old daughther is AB-ve person, and we live in Shah Alam, Malaysia. Someone said, AB-ve tend to be Chinese, but we're Malays. Me & hubby also curious on how our daughther get this AB-ve blood. My hubby is AB+ person while me is B+.

After I gave birth to her, our paed told us that the hospital did blood test twice for our daughter to confirm her blood group and it still read as AB-ve. He adviced us to do a blood test again when our daughther grew big.

I have a very little info abt AB-ve, but I do remember our paed reminds us abt this blood group is very rare. He even suggest if we cud do a pendant for her, stating of her blood type & family contact details in case of emergency. He did told us too, for a female AB-ve person : must be careful during pregnancy esp 2nd pregnancy and so on as it might give some conflict to the baby that they carries, esp if the baby is of +ve rhesus. They need to take some antibody. These are all the info I had, but M still searching for more info n tips on AB-ve blood.
