Your question: I've read a few posts stating that calcium hydroxide is actually harmful to the body. I understand it helps supply the body with calcium in the alk. drink, but are there any negatives to ingesting what some refer to as "chalk dust"? Would the alk drink still be effective if one was to not add the lime water and just take a coral calcium supplement while taking in the alk drink? Is calcium hydroxide, in your opinion, really safe? If lime powder form is considered an eye, respiratory irritant could it really be beneficial to the body? Im just worried it might over-work the kidneys or something
