OP a crock, or your dentist a crock? I vote for the latter.

Look, we have all had really bad dentists. In fact, I can't think of more deplorable practioners than they. Some are just plain crooks, others are really uninterested. I'm sure your dentist is thinking about your next root canal.

Now I'm saying this without knowing your dentist. Who knows..your dentist may be a saint. But the vast majority are decidedly not that way. They have pretty hefty school finance to pay off, and then the rest is lifestyle. You need to read some Dr. Nara in order to really understand.

Don't let this dentist put the voodoo hex on you. What is that? That is when you go to the doctor and they give you 6 months to live...and you die in 6 months.

I would stongly suggest ignoring this lukewarm reception and continuing on. We have way too many posts of dentists reacting exactly the opposite of what you mention. But hey, we have many more where the dentist mocked the patient while the HYGENIST was totally interested.

Edit - Caro, I just realized you were the woman with the OLP. That is an incredibly intense condition, and I can sense your frustration. I would probably feel the same as you do. Each negative sign is proably compounded by your condition. I still wanted to say that you need to forge ahead. I think that you actually should take some pretty agressive action in terms of the OP. Have you tried Castor Oil swishing? Do you use coconut oil? Have you tried any essential oils? There is more you can do.
