Since the beginning of time, mankind has been able to conquer dynasties and form empires because of the existence of the horse. They have been used to carry mankind into battle and to keep the peace or reshape the world at the whim of man. The ancients would never have ruled, the great wall of China would never have been built, Alexander The Great would have remained an unknown, and The West would not have been won if it weren't for the horse. They've pulled our milkwagons and have been the backbone of mankind's "progress" (and I use the term loosely) since the beginning of time. They are anything that mankind wants them to be and never have need to rise to the occasion, but in this day of modern technology, just like so many other elements of society, horses have become "less useful" in the progress of humanity, yet the horse world has found a way to be of service to the most gentle segment of society,...they shrunk themselves,...and they even wear sneakers so they don't scuff the floors of humanity.
