Re: Still taking Healthguard T18 for thyroid goiter
I got mine from the distributer in Canada also. I only have Thyroid Throu at this point. (I am still waiting for Thyroid Plaster.) I have only been taking 4 caps a day but I am planning to increase once I know it won't adversely affect me. (I am on estrogen, and because hormones all interact, I am being careful introducing Thyroid Throu which make change the requirement of estrogen by lowering thyroid hormones.)
I am only mildly hyperthyroid (I am taking 2.5mg of methimazole every other day and my thyroid panel numbers are within the normal range), but my thyroid is still slightly enlarged (although not visibly noticeable. I have no trouble swallowing or breathing, but I can tell my thyroid is bigger than it used to and it bothers me.) And the thyroid doesn't seem to get smaller even though my numbers have been within the normal range for a while now. My Dr said sometimes thyroid shrinks when the thyroid hormones are under control and sometimes it doesn't. Well, mine hasn't, so that's why I decided to start on Thyroid Throu and Thyroid Plaster.
How are you doing? Are you still on anti-thyroid meds? Could you lower the amount of anti-thyroid meds since you started Thyroid Throu?
