There are many people who can be put into the category of "know it all". Many people simply pretend to "know it all", the rest have gone to school for years and gotten multiple diplomas and degrees, and have also spent years in their profession gaining a lot of experience learning how much they don't "know it all" (in case they ever did think they know it all). The ability to learn rests on realizing and admitting that you don't "know it all".

It was either Socrates or Plato (they worked closely together) who said that they are the wisest man in Athens because they "know that they know nothing". When you think that you know it all, you lose the ability to learn, when you feel that someone else is a "know it all", it is because you refuse to learn what you know you should (unless they are simply "pretending" to have TRUTH).
