I feel like this kind of bolsters the argument that women should be vaccinated before sexual activity if possible since it logically would immunize them before exposure to HPV. I don't know if Merck has put out information saying everyone should get it but it stands to reason that if you're already exposed to HPV and are showing dysplastic changes, then the vaccine is probably a day late and $350 short. The fact that it's 98% effective in women before onset of sexual activity? That shouldn't go unnoticed. I posted before somewhere about other issues like in order to really get a handle on HPV boys should be included as well, and current long term data only goes to 5 years.
