Would they consider using calcium hydroxide instead?

Can you tell me if the dentist you work for would consider using plain calcium hydroxide as the "base/liner" instead of using either the Diamond bond or the Diamond link? (even instead of just one of them)

I muscle tested as "slightly sensitive" to both the Diamond Bond and the Diamond Link, and "not at all sensitive" to the Diamond Crown - slightly sensitive is a whole lot better than medium or very sensitive, but Im trying to see if anyone experienced with the Diamond line has ever used plain calcium hydroxide in place of either the Diamond Bond or the Diamond Link, so that I could leave out at least one of those.

Plain calcium hydroxide is a generic powder, and by "plain" I mean NO brand name, just plain, which the dentist then mixed with a little saline to make a paste, and uses as a "base/liner". Some biological dentists online talk about this, but I'm looking for one who also has experience witht the Diamond products.
Wondering what the opinion of your dentist on the use of calcium hydroxide.
