dandelion root and mild chest cold

Hi!

Please help me figure this one out.

I started taking dandelion root in capsule form last week, according to the bottles recommendation,3 @ 3x day. Sometimes it wouldn't be 3x a day, but I noticed this week that I had more bowel movements when I took it three times a day (sometimes having a BM 2 a day) and then I started taking less and forgetting because I started getting a sore throat.

I was taking this to help reduce the weight and I didn't know that it was a diuretic. I'm wondering now if the irritation has something to do with the dandelion. I also did not stop eating cheese, eating some slices every day this week, except today because my little throat, chest irritation isn't going away, I've decided to stop doing all the wrong things. I also did a little Reiki on it, but since I started my period in the mid-week, I just didn't have the energy to do it.

I've been wanting to do a raw foods detox for a week but I've been unable to do it. Maybe this is my body telling me to get back on track?

Since doing more reiki, it's now in my chest, and the coughing isn't so bad as it was yesterday (whenever I spoke, I would cough). Besides the dandelion, I've been taking my women formula multivitamin from trader joes. But today I didn't take it.

We didn't have any hydrogen peroxide or apple cider vinegar so that I could gargle. I just did a salt gargle yesterday.

Are the two related, the coughing, sore throat (that is gone today) and the dandelion root?

Thanks!
Bellamila
