Simple recipe for ginger drink...
One piece raw organic ginger about half the size of the thumb.
Leave the ginger unpeeled. Use the whole piece with outer skin.
Phytonutrients are in the skins, stems and seeds of plants
and are what actually attract toxins for removal from the body.
Add water and ice cubes and sweetener to taste. Blend on high
until ginger is finely pureed in the mix. The finer the particles
are the more beneficial is the drink.
Can use maple syrup to sweeten and a Vita Mix blender. I add
the ice because the Vita Mix is a powerful 2hp unit that can
get the drink fairly warm otherwise.
Can make a whole lemon drink in a similar fashion. Peel the lemon
skin (its strong tasting and often hard to get organic lemons)
and use the inner pulp and seeds. It gives me lots of energy
and the pectin is great for detox not to mention the bioflavanoids
and vitamin C. I have my own lemon and citrus trees but the fruit
is not in season yet. :(
Don't do much with cloves.
