I had a place cupped on my neck when I was in China. (no blood involved) After it was finished, it looked like I had a hickey for about a day. I suppose it was, in essence, a mechanical hickey. As far as I know, in China the cupping is usually bloodless, so the blood thing is new to me. I think they use the acupuncture points to "know" where to place the cups. Um.... yeah. I don't know much about it, so this article was interesting.
