red lumps on forehead?

in the past couple of months my moderate Acne has got worse in that i now have big red lumps appearing on my forehead, they stay for AGES and have loads of puss underneath, but they never seem to get a head (yeah gross i know) does anyone know what the hell they are and how i can get rid/prevent them? any suggestions are much appreciated
